The Commercial Pilot License (CPL) is a certification that allows a pilot to fly aircraft professionally and get paid for it. Unlike a private pilot license (PPL), which allows flying for personal purposes, the CPL is required for anyone who wants to pursue a career as a pilot.

Why choose the CPL(A) license ?
The CPL(A) Commercial Pilot License is a milestone in every pilot's career – once obtained, you gain the opportunity to fly commercially, perform paid flights, and truly enter the professional aviation market. At our school, we take a practical approach to CPL training , offering training according to a program approved by the President of the Civil Aviation Authority. It includes NOC, BIR/IR, MEP(L), and classic SEP flights, as well as "complex" flights – a structure that can be shortened for those already certified (e.g., MEP(L), IR, NOC). Prerequisites for enrollment in the training are a PPL(A) license and the appropriate flight time (150 hours of total flight time), as well as completion of the theoretical portion of the CPL(A) or ATPL(A).After completing the practical part, the student must have at least 200 hours of flight time (of which 100 hours as pilot-in-command), including at least 20 hours as PIC XC and a 300 NM flight with two landings at airports other than take-off airports – only then can the CPL(A) license be obtained .
Costs, shortcuts, and key questions about the CPL license
The question of the CPL license and its price is often asked by beginner pilots. At VENTUM AIR, we provide cost transparency and the opportunity to take advantage of training shortcuts for holders of ratings such as NOC, IR, or MEP(L). For these individuals, practical training can be reduced to 15 hours instead of the full scope. It's worth remembering that CPL(A) training , i.e., in the context of Class A aircraft, differs from typical multi-engine courses, as it focuses on single-engine aircraft (SEP, and later "complex") and preparation for commercial flights in this class. For students who want to advance – for example, to the ATPL – the CPL(A) provides a foundation on which to build a further career path. If you are considering a CPL , please contact us to tailor the scope and cost of training to your specific situation.Practical training (in its entirety) includes:
NIGHT – 5 hours on PS28N Cruiser
MEP(L) – 6+1.5 hours on P2006T (if training for CPL(A) will be carried out on an MEP(L) class aircraft), after completing the MEP(L) class training, a practical exam must be taken.
BIR – 10 hours (5h FNPT II + 5h SEP(L).
CPL(A) 15 hours, including 10 hours in an SEP(L) aircraft + 5 hours in an aircraft certified to carry 4 people, with retractable landing gear, adjustable propeller – commonly called a "complex"). In the case of our school, this is the Tecnam P2006T.
